Children At Heart Ministries can benefit every time you shop on the Internet, thanks to GoodShop.

GoodShop is an online shopping mall of major merchants that donate a percentage of each purchase to your favorite charity.

When you are asked “Who do you support?” simply enter the name of one of our ministries.

If you want your support to be used where the need is greatest, enter Children At Heart Ministries. If you want to support a specific ministry, enter Gracewood, Miracle Farm, STARRY or Texas Baptist Children’s Home.

Then, when you visit the GoodShop page, select the merchant you want to visit. There are literally hundreds, ranging from 1-800-Flowers to Zazzle, including major airlines, hotel chains, online retailers like Amazon, and "big box" stores like Best Buy. When you click on the merchant where you want to shop, you’ll be taken to another page that tells you exactly what percentage of your purchase will be donated to our ministries and a link to the merchant’s website.

Best of all, the price you pay is exactly the same as you’d pay if you went directly to the merchant’s website. The merchants have agreed to help us by participating in GoodShop. Typically, the donation to our ministries will range from 1-3% of the purchase price. The only requirement is that you enter the merchant’s website through GoodShop.

You can shop at hundreds of places. For example, if you are ordering from Kohls, Target, Old Navy and many other retailers, just simply access their websites through GoodShop.

Need a new Dell or HP computer? Use GoodShop and 2% of your purchase price will go to the ministry of your choice.

Planning a vacation? You’ll find hotel chains like Holiday Inn, Best Western Sheraton and the Choice Hotels group, and you’ll find car rental companies like Enterprise, Dollar and Avis. You can even go to Southwest Airlines’ Vacations website and any package you book will mean 2.5% of the purchase price goes to our ministries.

Here’s a good tip: Watch for coupons and special offers, such as 2-for-1 deals and free shipping. Coupon and discount opportunities are clearly marked on the merchants’ websites.

Of course, Children At Heart isn’t the only nonprofit that uses GoodShop. But the ones that are most successful are the ones who get friends and supporters to participate. So please help by using it yourself and by telling everyone you know. Just send them the link to GoodShop. It's an easy way to benefit the ministries you love.
