Miracle Farm Admissions

Families of teenage boys are referred to Miracle Farm in a variety of ways including friends, family members, churches, psychologists or school counselors. The application process involves the following steps.

Initial Contact
The custodial parent or guardian of a prospective resident personally contacts Miracle Farm to request an Application for Admission.

Please send all completed applications to Emily Stewart.

Telephone Interview
A Miracle Farm Family Services Specialist (Case Manager) conducts a brief Telephone Interview with the parent or guardian. If it is determined that Miracle Farm is not a good fit, the Family Services Specialist may refer the parent or guardian to another program or service.

If it is determined that Miracle Farm could potentially meet the needs of the teenager, an Application for Admissions form and a list of required supporting documents necessary to complete the Admissions Packet will be sent to the family. The family will return the completed Application for Admissions and supporting documents including school records, current immunization records, psychological or psychiatric evaluation, certified birth certificate, copy of any court order regarding custody and copy of the prospective resident's Social Security card. Upon receipt of the complete Admissions Packet, the admissions team will evaluate the suitability of the applicant and arrange for an Assessment Interview.

Assessment Interview
An Assessment Interview, held at Miracle Farm, includes the admissions team, prospective resident and all custodial parents or guardians. The admissions team will review the assessment to determine whether Miracle Farm can provide services to meet the needs of all parties. A Pre-Placement Meeting will be scheduled if placement is deemed appropriate. If it is determined that Miracle Farm is not a good fit for the boy and his family, parents or guardians may be referred to another program or resource for appropriate services.

Pre-Placement Meeting

During the Pre-Placement Meeting, the admissions team, prospective resident and all custodial parents or guardians discuss any additional information needed to finalize the placement. All parties review the program handbook and make preparations for placement. They then finalize placement and schedule a placement date.
