Office of Mission Advancement

Communications Coordinator (Full-time). Principal Function: Works under the supervision of the Director of Annual Giving. Implements all communications activities that promote and further the mission of the Children At Heart family of ministries. In addition to overall experience in marketing, public relations and advertising, the ideal candidate will possess an in-depth understanding of brand positioning, website and social media platforms, and knowledge of how content translates across marketing channels. Good knowledge of photography, collateral materials, internal and external outreach activities, special events, direct mail, media relations, and employee communications is also important.
The Communications Coordinator is expected to participate in all communications and marketing communications activities; assist multi-level communications activities for all ministries; work in close partnership with the Storytelling Coordinator and the Graphic Designer; and provide support for mission advancement and fundraising, as needed. Development Associate II (Full-time). Principal Function: Assist the Vice President, development officers, executive directors and trustees in maintaining regular contact with the highest priority donors. Create and implement Action Tracks and/or other systems to monitor follow up. Participate in regular staff meetings where solicitor accountability is monitored and provide information to the Vice President and Senior Director of Development, which will encourage all solicitors to be focused on the highest priority activities. The position also carries responsibilities for the gift receipting process - ensuring gifts are processed in a timely manner once received by CAHM and affiliate ministries, properly reviewed and documented so as to identify appropriate donor intent. Accordingly, the incumbent will have primary responsibility for establishing new accounts and for ongoing maintenance of accounts when address changes, birthdays, emails, etc. are discovered by Mission Advancement staff. The Development Associate II must be comfortable and efficient in making regular contact with donors, trustees, third-party contribution processors, and executive staff across CAHM, in order to gather all information necessary to complete accurate receipting and assist with facilitating efficient donor cultivation strategies. Development Associate - Houston (Full-time). Principal Function: Under direction of the Associate Director of Development, assists with a variety of critical development projects including special events, foundation relations, and other projects assigned by the Associate Director of Development. The priority objective of the role is to meet current and future budget and capital needs. The SAFE Host Home Program in Georgetown has opportunities for Christian married couples to work as a team to provide a safe place for at-risk youth to live for up to 45 days while STARRY works to strengthen the child’s family connections or to help the child find long-term placement. We offer case management, training, and counseling services free of charge. You must be 25 years of age, married with one stay-at-home parent, possess a valid TX driver’s license, pass thorough background checks, and be able to provide your own vehicle for transportation. Family Life Coordinator (Full-time). Principal Job Function: Responsibilities include managing the household and modeling positive, Christian family living to single mothers and their children. Family Life Coordinator partners with residents in developing, implementing and updating clients’ plan of service. Maintains household budget, shops for the cottage and transports clients as needed. Bachelor’s degree in a human service field preferred, high school diploma or GED accepted. A good driving record and acceptable criminal background check necessary. This is a live-in position.
