Children At Heart Foundation

Director of Development - Brenham - The Children At Heart Foundation has an immediate opening for an experienced fundraising professional to join the resource development team in its Brenham, Texas, office. The Director of Development will maintain an existing donor portfolio while seeking new partners  to support Miracle Farm and  Children At Heart Ministries’ broader outreach to children and families in crisis.The position requires regular participation in meetings and other activities on the Brenham campus of Miracle Farm, and a large proportion of the donor cultivation activity is expected to be focused in the region to include Bryan-College Station/Brenham/Greater Houston area.The ideal candidate will have at least five years experience as a fundraising professional, with proven success in identifying, soliciting, and stewarding major donors. Experience in a faith-based or social service non-profit is a plus. Experience using Raiser’s Edge or comparable donor database is also desired. Miracle Farm

Counselor. Principal Job Function: The Counselor is responsible for the coordination and provision of counseling services to clients; conducting group training sessions for churches, parents and referral sources; and conducting public awareness presentations to the community. Education and Experience: Applicants must have a Master’s degree in counseling or social work. LPC Intern, LMFT Associate or LCSW required. LPC, LMFT or LCSW preferred. Houseparent Couple – Miracle Farm, located just outside of Brenham, is seeking a married Christian couple to serve as house parents for 8 teenage boys. Principal Job Function: to provide a safe, secure and stable environment through daily supervision and behavior management of youth on a 24-hour a day basis. Responsibilities include managing the household and modeling positive family living for youth in a Christian ranch environment.  Maintains household budget, shops for the cottage and transports clients as needed. High school diploma and/or GED along with two years full-time work experience is required.  Experience with horses and team roping strongly preferred. A good driving record and acceptable criminal background check necessary. This is a live in position. Salary, housing, paid time off and excellent benefits package are included. Volunteer Coordinator Assistant (temporary, part-time, up to 29 hours per week) - The Volunteer Coordinator Assistant is responsible for assisting the Volunteer Coordinator in networking with community members interested in volunteering in a variety of capacities within STARRY. The Volunteer Coordinator Assistant helps the Volunteer Coordinator ensure that all necessary documentation for volunteers is in order, organizes the volunteer schedules and provides training and community relations for all volunteers. Education and Experience: Applicant must be able to work effectively within the community and promote STARRY’s mission and values in diverse situations. Preferably the applicant has a bachelor’s degree and experience in community relations and/or volunteer organization. SAFE Host Home - The SAFE Host Home Program has opportunities for Christian married couples to work as a team to provide a safe place for runaway and homeless youth to stay for up to 21 days. We offer case management, training, and counseling services free of charge.
