Counselor/Therapist – Gracewood in Houston, Texas is seeking a Christian to provide individual, family and group counseling to residents of Gracewood, a residential program assisting single mothers and their children in crisis. Counseling services are also available to community clients. Services are provided on-site and within the community. Miracle Farm

Counselor. Principal Job Function: The Counselor is responsible for the coordination and provision of counseling services to clients; conducting group training sessions for churches, parents and referral sources; and conducting public awareness presentations to the community. Education and Experience: Applicants must have a Master’s degree in counseling or social work. LPC Intern, LMFT Associate or LCSW required. LPC, LMFT or LCSW preferred. Houseparent Couple – Miracle Farm, located just outside of Brenham, is seeking a married Christian couple to serve as house parents for 8 teenage boys. Principal Job Function: to provide a safe, secure and stable environment through daily supervision and behavior management of youth on a 24-hour a day basis. Responsibilities include managing the household and modeling positive family living for youth in a Christian ranch environment.  Maintains household budget, shops for the cottage and transports clients as needed. High school diploma and/or GED along with two years full-time work experience is required.  Experience with horses and team roping strongly preferred. A good driving record and acceptable criminal background check necessary. This is a live in position. Salary, housing, paid time off and excellent benefits package are included. Emergency Shelter Childcare Specialist - Round Rock, TX (full-time). STARRY seeks an experienced Christian individual for a full-time Child Care Specialist position with the STARRY Emergency Shelter Program in Round Rock for abused/neglected children in Williamson County. The candidate must truly have a passion for working with children and must be able to work a flexible schedule that changes each week to fit the needs of the shelter. The Emergency Shelter Child Care Specialist is responsible for providing care to abused/neglected children; for implementing the Shelter's structured child care program; and for providing an environment of consistent structure, guidance and nurturing in the Emergency Shelter. This position is for a shift beginning at 3PM and ending at 11PM the following day, Thursday through Monday. Education/Experience: High School Diploma and one year of child care experience required. SAFE Host Home - The SAFE Host Home Program in Georgetown has opportunities for Christian married couples to work as a team to provide a safe place for at-risk youth to live for up to 66 days while STARRY works to strengthen the child’s family connections or to help the child find long-term placement. We offer case management, training, and counseling services free of charge. Foster Home, Round Rock - There is a great need for families who are called to provide foster care for hurting children. As a foster parent, you’ll help provide broken, hurting children with the type of connection and attachment that they so desperately need for healthy development. Families who welcome these children into their hearts and homes help fulfill one of the most important callings of the human experience. Volunteer Coordinator Assistant (temporary, part-time, up to 29 hours per week) - The Volunteer Coordinator Assistant is responsible for assisting the Volunteer Coordinator in networking with community members interested in volunteering in a variety of capacities within STARRY. The Volunteer Coordinator Assistant helps the Volunteer Coordinator ensure that all necessary documentation for volunteers is in order, organizes the volunteer schedules and provides training and community relations for all volunteers. Education and Experience: Applicant must be able to work effectively within the community and promote STARRY’s mission and values in diverse situations. Preferably the applicant has a bachelor’s degree and experience in community relations and/or volunteer organization.
