Once borrowers close on their mortgage loan, Hope Tree will donate an amount equal to one-quarter of one percent of the loan to the ministry the borrow designates. For instance, a $200,000 mortgage loan would result in a $500 donation.
“This is a creative way to benefit our ministries,” said Jerry Bradley, President/CEO of Children At Heart. “We appreciate Hope Tree’s willingness to include Children At Heart in this program and we encourage anyone with mortgage needs to consider Hope Tree as a possible lender.”
Hope Tree is a subsidiary of Calvert Capital Corporation, a family-owned business whose principals have long been financial supporters of Children At Heart Ministries.
“Making a real difference where we live and work is our mission at Hope Tree Home Loans,” said Mortgage Consultant Stefanie Calvert Candelari.
“We believe it is essential to support causes that are important to our customers, but also because it is the right thing to do,” added Michael L. Johnson, Hope Tree CEO and Managing Director.
The Hope Tree program is the first of its kind in the mortgage industry that combines corporate charitable giving with consumer choice.
